Neon Junkyards is the online portfolio, Houdini blog and superhero alter ego of Drew Parks, Chicago-based freelance Houdini FX artist, 3D/VFX Generalist, Motion Graphics & Nuke compositor, and whatever else you need.

Having cut my teeth in illustration all through College I took to 3D with great enthusiasm, as it presented both a medium of artistic expression as well as a challenging puzzle to solve; discovering Houdini cemented that passion for art and creative problem solving, math and illustration, and I haven’t looked back since.

Since then I have worked on all manner of project imaginable, from full 3D productions to seamless VFX shots, stylized Motion Graphics, on-set VFX direction, VR for both live action and CG, Live concert visuals , 3D projection mapping, film, TV, music videos, birthday parties, Quinceañeras….all with a decade of production-proven experience working with some of the largest studios and clients in the industry.
